our

STORY

In 2012, Holly Cooper opened the first FGT food truck. With her family by her side, she debuted her signature fried green tomatoes at the local Wilson County Fair. After selling out of tomatoes nearly every night, Holly & her family realized they had a unique product that customers loved. They expanded their menu the following year to include other southern staples everyone loved. In 2016, after many customers had inquired about buying their signature batters and secret sauce, they launched the the FGT retail products line. In March 2019, Holly found a rare opportunity to audition for Shark Tank - the show had open auditions in Nashville. Holly hit a homerun on her first audition, and made it to round two where she had to send a pitch video. After making it through round two, Holly had one final audition standing between her & L.A. In May 2019, Holly got the call that she made the cut - and in June she & her family flew to L.A. to bring their southern charm to the tank. Holly landed a deal with Barbara Corcoran, and in 2020 the episode aired as part of season 11. After the airing, we opened a second truck in Nashville. In 2022, we decided it was time to franchise! We are so excited to spread a little bit of Nashville's southern hospitality across the country!

SO MUCH

MORE THAN A TRUCK

Launched in August of 2012, the Fried Green Tomatoes Food Truck made its debut at the prestigious Wilson County (TN) Fair, one of the largest in the nation. From that very first outing, it was obvious that great southern hospitality combined with delectable fried green tomatoes were a recipe for success.

But, as we traveled around pleasing the palates of folks all across the southeastern United States, we continually received requests from those who wanted to take home our batter mix and The Secret Sauce. We hadn't really considered that but when we stopped to think about it, it made perfect sense - and that brings us to our shiny, new website.
